Day 2: Continuing to work within that idea of constraints, try to write a 6-word memoir of your life so far. This idea is rumored to have originated from Papa Hemingway. The benefit is that with only six words, you really have to filter your life to what you deem most important. It may take you many iterations, but you’ll end up with something that speaks largely to who you are, if not in toto, then at least in this moment in time.
Hmm… This prompt is interesting, only 6 words, ok then I’ll give it a try:
“Not finished being a good man.”
Huh, that was easier than I thought, that took me, like, 5 minutes to come up with. Maybe I didn’t do it right… Well, it does capture who I am at this very moment: In search of new ways to improve myself on various levels, trying to get into med school, ultimately it boils down to my being a man who isn’t finished with his journey, so I think this sums me up pretty well.
